The Fallen Tower
Jolene Black. Jolynn Black. Johanna Blukart. Jude Blackstein. John Blake. A gallery of faces. A pantheon of names. Behind them, one soul – and a pretty corrupt one, at that. For the next five centuries, the manipulator known as Jodi Blake will caper down the Nephandic path, happily “donating” the folk she meets to the Abyss in exchange for a few more years of life and vitality. An infamous Nephandus, Blake rarely appears the same way twice. Her favorite forms seem to include beautiful children, seductive young women, male rock musicians, and strippers. Though supposedly a Tradition barabbi, no one knows exactly where or when she came from.
Subterfuge is Jodi’s game, and she plays it well. Even the Dark Ones do not trust her. It has been said that over 40 mages have fallen through this temper’s manipulations. Whatever form she takes, Jodi prefers physical beauty over combat prowess and subtlety over violence. Centuries of life have taught her dozens of skills in addition to her magicks, and she can outmaneuver most younger opponents through sheer wit. When forced to fight, she often takes the form of some animal.
